Before I started cooking I would always get a box of taquitos and just kill those things as late night snacks. Or when I would get home from work or heck, any time they were a favorite of mine. Now that I have taught myself to cook and am cooking all the time I haven’t abandoned my love of taquitos, I have just started making my own, the best part of that is I can play with flavors and styles to keep coming up with new combinations. That’s where today’s recipe came from. These Philly Cheesesteak Taquitos are an amazing snack for anytime, late night snack, game time appetizers. What ever it doesn’t matter this is a fun and great tasting little treat that will kill if you put out for the family or friends. Seriously guys this is one you need to try and let me know just how much you love them when you do try them.

Philly Cheesesteak Taquitos Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 pckg. Steak-Umms
- 1/2 Cup Mozzarella Cheese Shredded
- 1/2 Cup Cheddar Cheese Shredded
- 1/2 Cup Cream Cheese
- 1 Green Pepper Chopped
- 1 Onion Diced
- 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce
- Salt
- Pepper
- 2 Tbsp. Olive Oil
- 1 Garlic Clove Minced
- Small Flour Tortillas
- Nacho Cheese
- 1 Yellow Bell Pepper Sliced (Optional)
- 1 Red Bell Pepper Sliced(Optional)
Instructions
- Add olive oil, onions, peppers, salt, and pepper to a medium-sized skillet, cooking for approximately 5 minutes or until warm and tender. Push the vegetables to side of the pan and add the Steak-umms and diced garlic to the center. Cook until Steak-Umms are browned thoroughly, stirring occasionally to ensure even temperature throughout. Add Worcestershire sauce, stir thoroughly, and remove from heat.
- Spread 1 tablespoon of cream cheese over the base of each tortilla, followed by 1-2 tablespoons of the steak and vegetable mix, and finish with a generous sprinkle of mozzarella and cheddar. Carefully roll each tortilla as tightly as possible.
- Place the taquitos on a parchment paper-lined baking tray with the folded side facing downwards. Spritz liberally with olive oil, and bake for 20 minutes at 350°F.
- Top with roasted Red & Yellow Peppers, and Nacho Cheese and serve
