Texas Roadhouse Rattlesnake Bites

As you may have guesses we really like food, and experimenting with it when we go out. Different places different dishes. Heck I go from greasy spoons, to chain restaurants to some high end places. Any of the places we go we are always on the look out for recipes to try and bring home with us ( I have tons of pics of menus in my phone so I remember things lol) Well this is just one of those recipes. Texas Roadhouse Rattlesnake Bites is a great and simple little appetizer. There aren’t a lot of ingredients or steps to this one. It isn’t overly time consuming and let’s be honest it this one freaking tastes so good! But come on lol anything deep fried has to be good right?

Texas Roadhouse Rattlesnake Bites Recipe

OMG this is the perfect little appetizer!
Total Time 40 minutes
Servings 18 Yields

Ingredients
  

  • 16 oz. Pepper Jack Cheese Shredded
  • 3 Jalapeños Seeded and Diced
  • 1/2 Cup Flour
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Cup Milk
  • 1-1/2 Cup Bread Crumbs
  • 1 tsp. Cayenne Pepper
  • 1 tsp. Paprika
  • 1 tsp. Garlic Powder

Instructions
 

  • In bowl combine your shredded cheese and jalapeños.
  • Shape cheese mixture into about 1 1/2″ balls, squeezing tightly to compress. Place on cookie sheet and freeze for about 30 minutes.
  • Heat oil to 350 Degrees
  • In bowl add your flour, In another bowl mix together your egg and milk. In a third bowl stir together your bread crumbs and seasonings.
  • Start by rolling your balls into the flour mixture, then dipping into milk and lastly coating with bread crumbs.
  • Fry in batches for about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown.
