Crab Rangoon Wontons

Sometimes you just want a simple and classic recipe, am I right? Well guess what everyone today I have a simple and classic recipe for you! Crab Rangoon Wontons! I realized I had mad them as egg rolls in video form before but never had made just straight forward simple wontons! I mean come on who doesn’t love Crab Rangoon? This is a quick and easy little recipe for any get together. Not a lot of work goes into this one, but the outcome is freaking awesome! So go ahead guys, I am not going to babble a lot on this one it is pretty straight forward, make these and enjoy!

Crab Rangoon Wontons Recipe

Total Time 25 minutes
Servings 6 serves

Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz. Lump Crab
  • 8 oz. Cream Cheese Softened
  • 1 Garlic Clove Minced
  • 3 Green Onions Diced
  • 1-1/2 tsp. Sesame Oil
  • 1-1/2 tsp. Worchestershire Sauce
  • 6 Won Ton Wrappers Sliced
  • 3/4 Cup sugar
  • 1/3 Cup Vinegar
  • 2/3 Cup Water
  • 1/4 Soy Sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. Ketchup
  • 2 Tbsp. Cornstarch
  • 1 Refrigerated Pizza Dough

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 400˚F. Heat oil to 375˚F.
  • Add sliced won ton wrappers into heated oil for about 60 seconds, until they are crispy. Remove them from the oil and set on a paper towel lined sheet to, set aside.
  • Roll out pizza dough onto a baking sheet or pizza stone, bake in preheated oven for about 7 minutes, until the dough starts to get a little bit golden.
  • In a large bowl mix together cream cheese, half of the lump crab, garlic, 2/3 of the green onion, sesame oil, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper.
  • In a small sauce pane add sugar, vinegar, water, soy sauce, ketchup and cornstarch. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and allow to simmer until it thickens.
  • Carefully remove pizza crust from the oven, spread the mixture over the warm crust, next add remaining crab, and drizzle with the sweet and sour sauce. Place back in the oven for another 10 to 12 minutes, until the crust is a deep golden color.
  • Remove from oven and top with wontons and extra green onions.
