Jalapeño Jam Burger

The last few videos I have posted (and the next few coming up) have all been food I made for entertaining small groups of friends who come over. This last time around my friend Nick who is a pro-wrestler and amateur body builder came over. Well he was saving his cheat day just to come hang out and eat so I had to make something to really make it worth it lol. Lately I have been doing a lot of playing with condiments, one of them being a Jalapeño Jam so I figured why not build a whole Jalapeño Jam burger around that one thing lol. I even had some left over pulled pork I decided to throw on it to really put over the top. Turns out I had nothing to worry about Nick LOVED this Jalapeño Jam Burger and I know you will too. When you do make this one be sure to take a picture and post it to my Facebook page or tag it on social media with #TeamTR

  • 4 Brioche Buns
  • 2 Cups Leftover Pulled Pork
  • Honey Mustard
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions

Pickled Onions:

  • In a small add the rest of your ingredients. Bring to a boil and then remove from the heat and carefully our over your sliced onion in the mason jar.
  • Once the liquid cools to room temperature close the lid and place in the fridge to chill. The longer you allow them to sit the better the flavor will be.

Jalapeño Jam:

  • Dice jalapeño and green peppers, or run through a food processor until they are finely chopped.
  • Add all ingredients into a sauce pan over then your pectin. Bring to a boil for about a minute, add the pectin in and allow to boil for a couple of minutes. Carefully pour into a jar and allow to cool. The cooler it gets the thicker it will become.

Burgers:

  • Form your ground beef into 4 equal size burger patties. Salt and pepper to taste. Grill burgers to your desired temperature and top each with a slice of gouda cheese. Toast your buns while you are grilling the burgers.
  • To make put some honey mustard on the bottom bun, then your burger patty, top with jalapeño jam, pulled pork and pickled onions. Close up with the top but and enjoy!
