I like my burgers… a lot. So I like to make variations of burgers and have fun with them. The Caribbean Burger is just that it is a fun and great tasting burger/ If you like sautéed vegetables and some good jerk sauce this is the burger for you. It packs a ton of flavor into a simple recipe.
Caribbean Burger Recipe

Ingredients
Jerk Sauce
- 1/2 Cup Fresh Lemon Juice
- 1/3 Cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1/3 Cup Bottled Jerk Sauce
- 2 Tbsp. Cajun Seasoning
- 2 Tbsp. Red Pepper Flakes
- 1 Small Red Bell Pepper Finely Diced
- 1 Large Jalapeno Cored Seeded and Finely Diced
- 3 Minced Garlic Cloves
Burgers
- 2 Carrots cut into 3 inch Sticks
- 1 Zucchini cut into 3 inch Sticks
- 1 Small Red Bell Pepper cut into 3 inch Sticks
- 2 lbs. Ground Chuck
- Salt
- Pepper
Instructions
- Whisk lemon juice, olive oil, jarred jerk sauce, Cajun seasoning and red pepper flakes in a large bowl until combined. Stir in bell, jalapeños, and garlic. Cover and refrigerate.
- Heat a larger skillet over medium flame and add some olive oil. Add carrots, zucchini and red bell pepper. Season with salt and cook, tossing occasionally until they soften. Add 1/4 cup of the prepared jerk sauce, and cook until glazed for about 5 or so minutes. Remove from heat.
- Form simple patties and season with salt and pepper. Grill to your liking, while basting with your prepared jerk sauce.
- Put this bad boy together!
Notes
This burger really doesn’t need anything other then the sautéed vegetables to taste great.
