Bangers and Mash with Guinness Gravy

OMG, it’s FRIDAY!! Man, this weekend is totally welcome lol. I am headed out for a cruise on the Chicago River tomorrow (which will be dyed green) for an early St. Patrick’s Day celebration. For tonight though we can enjoy these Bangers and Mash with Guinness Gravy. This is a cool, fun, and simple dinner that you will totally fall in love with. Simple Bangers and Mash with Guinness Gravy

Course Dinner, Launch, Main Course
Cuisine American, Dinner, Irish
Servings 4 Serving

Ingredients
  

  • 4 Tbsp. Butter
  • 1 Onion Sliced
  • 4 Tbsp. Flour
  • 12 oz. Guinness
  • 14.5 oz. Beef Broth
  • 1 Tbsp. Dijon Mustard
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. Brown Sugar
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Meal:

  • 1 lb. Russet Potatoes Peeled and Chunked
  • 4 Tbsp. Butter
  • 1/2 Cup Milk
  • 19 oz. Sausages

Instructions
 

  • Cook sausage as per package instructions.
  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil, add in potatoes, reduce the heat and allow to simmer for 15 minutes.
  • Drain the potatoes, place in a large bowl. Add butter, milk, slat and pepper to taste. Mash until smooth.
  • In a largeskiller melt butter, add in onions, and cook for about 20 minutes occasionally stirring, until caramelized.
  • Add flour, stir in and cook for another minute, Add in remaining gravy ingredients and mix until combined. All to simmer for about 15 minutes or until it reaches desired thickness.
  • Places Sausage and potatoes on a plate and top with gravys.
