Simple Beef and Asparagus Kebabs

Total Time 33 minutes
Course bbq, Lunch, Main Course
Cuisine American, Barbecue
Servings 6 Servings

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. Asparagus Spears Cut into 1" Sections
  • 1 Sweet Onion Cut into 1" Chunks
  • 2 Tbsp. Olive Oil
  • 1-1/2 lb. Ribeye Cut into 1" Chunks
  • 4 Tbsp. Sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. Seasoned Salt
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions

  • In a large medium bowl add the beef chunks, drizzle with 1 Tbsp. of olive oil. In a small bowl mix together Seasoned Salt, Sugar, Salt and pepper. Sprinkle beef with half of the seasoning mixture and toss to coat, then again with the rest of the seasoning to make sure it is completely coated.
  • In a large skillet or pot, fill half way with water and bring to a boil. While the water is heating up place ice water in a large bowl and set aside. Once water is boiling add asparagus. Allow to boil for about 2 minutes, remove from the water and immediately place in the ice water to stop cooking.
  • Cut the asparagus and onions into about 1" pieces and place in a medium bowl. Drizzle with 1 Tbsp. of olive oil, salt and pepper to taste and toss to coat.
  • Add beef onion and asparagus on to soaked skewers, alternating between ingredients. Take the kebabs out to the grill and cook to your desired temperature of meat. I want about 1-1/2 meat flipped and when another 1-1/2 minutes.
