Beer Battered Mac N’ Cheese Stuffed Onion Rings

Occasionally I like to do something really over the top, and for lack of a better word… really stupid lol. That’s all you can call this one stupid LMAO!! These Beer Battered Mac N’ Cheese Stuffed Onion Rings are a definite Oh My God recipe! Now I will link you to my Mac N’ Cheese to take this one even further over the type, but even doing this with a store bought you will have people saying OMG I need more of this in my life. I apologize if you were looking for something lite and healthy today. All I have for you is freaking amazing lol. Beer Battered Mac N Cheese Stuffed Onion Rings Recipe

Servings 12 Yields

Ingredients
  

  • 2 Cups Mac N' Cheese ( Here is my recipe if I need – https://youtu.be/qSQZoCrlXV0)
  • 1 Large Onion, Sliced
  • 1 Cup Panko
  • 1 1/4 Flour
  • 2 Cups Beer
  • 1  tsp. Baking Powder
  • Salt

Instructions
 

  • Peel off outer layer of onion & slice into rings- the thickness is your personal preference.
  • Combine the flour, baking powder and salt in a mixing bowl, Add in cold beer & whisk until smooth. Add several onion rings to the batter and stir to coat.
  • Place in freezer for 30 minutes to set cheese
  • Heat oil to 375 degrees.
  • Coat Onions in Panko an fry until 6-8 minutes until rings are a golden brown.
