BLT Burgers w/ Candied Bacon & Bacon Mayonnaise
BLT Burgers with Candied Bacon & Bacon Mayonnaise

Ingredients
For Candied Bacon
- 3 Tablespoons packed light brown sugar
- pinch of cayenne pepper
- pinch of cinnamon
- 4 slices thick-cit bacon
For Bacon Mayonnaise
- 3 slices thick-cut bacon
- 1/3 cup mayonnaise
- 2 Tablespoons sour cream
- 1 Tablespoons chopped fresh chives
- salt & black pepper to taste
For Burgers
- 1-1/2 pounds ground beef
- salt & black pepper to taste
- 4 slices of cheese I used Cheddar
- lettuce & sliced tomato
Instructions
- 1. Candied bacon: Pre-Heat the oven to 350. Mix the brown sugar, cayenne and cinnamon in a small bowl. Arrange bacon on a wire rack set over a rimmed baking sheet. Sprinkle with half of the sugar & spice mix. Bake 10 minutes, then flip and sprinkle with remainder of mix and bake 10 more minutes. Remove bacon from oven to cool.
- 2. Bacon Mayonnaise: Cook bacon in skillet over medium heat, until you reach your desired crispness. Drain and finely dice. Mix mayonnaise and sour cream in small bowl. Stir in bacon and chives season with salt and pepper. Cover and refrigerate until ready to use (up to 1 day).
- 3. The Burgers: Form the ground beef into 4 equal size patties. Sprinkle both ides of each patty with salt and black pepper.
- 4. Grill or skillet cook on the stove top. Cook to to your desired taste and add cheese.
- 5. Build the Burgers: Smear bacon mayonnaise on the bun. Serve the patties on the bun with lettuce, tomato and candied bacon.
