Cheesecake French Toast Recipe
Ingredients
French Toast:
- 2 Cups Graham Cracker Crumbs
- 1/3 Cup Sugar
- 1/2 Cup Milk
- 6 Texas Toast Slices
- 4 Eggs
Cheesecake Filling:
- 2 Cups Milk
- 1 Pkcg. Jello Cheesecake Mix
Strawberry Topping:
- 1 Pint Strawberries
- 1/3 Cup Sugar
- 1 tsp. Vanilla
Cherry Topping:
- 1-1/2 Cups Cherry Pie Filling
- 1/4 Cup Water
- 1 Tbsp. Lemon Juice
Instructions
- In small bowl whip together jello mix and milk for about 3-5 minutes until it becomes creamy then chill.
- In a shallow bowl/dish combine eegs, sugar, and milk. In a second shallow bowl/dish.
- Dunk both sides of Texas toast into egg/milk mixture, allow excess to drip off then press both sides into graham cracker crumbs.
- Place in heat pan/skillet and cook until golden. About 304 minutes on each side.
- When everything is done spread filling between slices of toast and pour desired topping over the top
- I have made this with Strawberry and Cherry topping so here is both ways.
Strawberry:
- Stem and roughly chop strawberries.
- Place in sauce pan with sugar and vanilla stirring and mashing occasionally. Allow to cook for about 15 minutes.
- Puree in a blender to make it smooth or leave it chunky.
Cherry:
- Place all ingredients into a sauce pan stir together and bring to a simmer and cook for about 5 minutes.
