Chicken Alfredo Pierogi Casserole

Man last Friday before Thanksgiving! I know you don’t want to spend a ton of time making food since you will be cooking like crazy next week so here is a super simple comfort food dinner you can whip together for the family that will be devoured! This Chicken Alfredo Pierogi Casserole is the perfect chilly weather dinner you will fall in love with. Super Simple Chicken Alfredo Pierogi Casserole

Total Time 50 minutes

Ingredients
  

  • 2 lb. Frozen Pierogies Thawed
  • 1 Onion Chopped
  • 2 Cup Mushrooms Sliced
  • 3 Garlic Cloves Minced
  • 10 Bacon Slices Cooked and Crumbled
  • 2 Cups Chicken Chopped or Shredded
  • 3 Cups Alfredo Sauce
  • 1 tsp. Italian Seasoning
  • 2 Cups Monterey Jack Cheese Shredded
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350˚F.
  • Add a couple tablespoons of oil to a pan/skillet and heat over a medium heat. Add onions and mushrooms, seasoning with salt and pepper to taste. After about 7 to 8 minutes add garlic in and cook for a couple more minutes, until onions are softened.
  • In a large bowl add Alfredo sauce, 3/4 of the bacon, chicken, Italian seasoning and sauteed onions and mushrooms. Stir to combine.
  • Place pierogies into a 9×13 casserole dish. Pour chicken mixture over the top, cover in cheese and remaining bacon.
  • Place in the oven and bake for 30 minutes.
