Chicken Parmesan Stromboli Recipe

Total Time 1 hour
Course Dinner
Cuisine American, Italian
Servings 8 Servings

Ingredients

  • 6 Chicken Tenders
  • 1/4 Cup Flour
  • 1 Egg
  • 3/4 Cup Italian Seasoned Bread Crumbs
  • 1 Cup Parmesan Cheese
  • 2 Cups Mozzarella Shredded
  • 28 oz. Marinara Sauce
  • 1 Refrigerated Pizza Dough

Instructions

  • Preheat oil to 350˚.
  • Place flour in a shallow dish, beat egg in a second dish, in third dish mix together bread crumbs and 1/2 cup of grated parmesan cheese.
  • Coat chicken in flour, then egg, then breadcrumb mix. Place in heated oil, and cook for about 5 to 6 minutes, long enough to make sure chicken is cooked all the way through.
  • Preheat oven to 375˚.
  • Lay a sheet of parchment paper on your counter top and spread out your pizza dough. Lay down the mozzarella cheese, remaining parmesan cheese (if you want to go over the top add some provolone) spread half of your sauce over cheese. Add chicken tenders, remaining sauce.
  • Fold the ends of the dough in, then the sides over. Use the parchment paper in order to easily flip the Stromboli over onto the baking sheet. This way the seam will be down.
  • Make 3 or 4 slits in the top of the Stromboli and bake for about 30 to 35 minutes.
