Chipotle Maple Chicken Wings

Happy 2019 every one! Let’s start off this year the right way with some freaking awesome Chicken Wings! Chipotle Maple Wings to be specific. That’s right I am not doing the typical January healthy food, I am jumping straight into gearing up for the freaking Superbowl! So what better treat for the big game than wings! This one is easy to adjust too, a little more or less hot sauce. Swapping regular for spicy mustard. See what I mean these bad boys are perfect! Let’s be honest too, who is going to turn down wings LMAO!! Chipotle Maple Chicken Wings Recipe

Total Time 45 minutes
Course Appetizer
Servings 2 Servings

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb. Chicken Wings
  • 1-1/2 tsp. Brown Sugar
  • 1 tsp. Paprika
  • 1/2 tsp. Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 tsp. Onion Powder
  • 1/8 tsp. Chipotle Powder
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Sauce

  • 1/4 Cup Ketchup
  • 2 Chipotle Peppers in Adobo Sauce Diced
  • 3 Tbsp. Real Maple Syrup
  • 1 Tbsp. Molasses
  • 1 Tbsp. Apple Cider Vinegat
  • 2 tsp. Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. Ground Mustard
  • 1/2 tsp. Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 tsp. Onion Powder

Instructions
 

  • Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Pat dry all the chicken wings. Mix all ingredients for the dry rub. Liberally coat the chicken wings with the dry rub patting it down. Add more or less depending how much spice you want. 
  • Allow to rest for 10 to 15 minutes then bake for 20 minutes. Flip the wings over and back another 20 minutes.
  • While the chicken is baking, whisk together the ingredients for the sauce in a small sauce pan over medium heat. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and allow to simmer for about 15 minutes.
  • Use about 2 Tbsp. of the sauce and toss cooked wings in it. Using the rest for dipping sauce.
