Chocolate Cake w/ Bourbon & Bacon Frosting

I know you love your chocolate cake, but let’s go ahead and try a really cool twist on it! I am topping it with a Bourbon and Bacon Vanilla Frosting! Right I know that your thinking.. WHAT?!?! Bourbon and Bacon on a chocolate cake? YES!! We are ramping it up and killing it this time around by playing with some really cool flavors together you just wouldn’t expect!

Chocolate Cake w/ Bourbon & Bacon Frosting Recipe

Ingredients
  

Cake

  • 2 Cups All Purpose Flour
  • 1 Cup Dutch Cocoa Powder
  • 1 tsp. Baking Powder
  • 1/2 tsp. Baking Soda
  • 1 tsp. Salt
  • 1-1/2 Cups Butter
  • 1-3/4 Cups Sugar
  • 5 Large Eggs
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla Extract
  • 1-1/4 Cups Buttermilk

Bourbon Bacon Frosting

  • 8 Slices Bacon Fried and crumbled
  • 1/2 Cup Butter
  • 8 oz. Cream Cheese
  • 3-1/2 Cups Powdered Sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. Bourbon I used a Maple Bourbon but you don’t have to
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla Extract
