Hey guys, Happy Saturday! You know what that means right? Yup. .. it’s the weekend no work today.. or tomorrow.. or heck Monday this time!! Oh yea and it also means it’s time for the french toast of the week lol. This week I am making a really cool Churro French Toast. This is perfect to satisfy that sweet tooth of yours. Easily it can be a breakfast or dessert (like most of my french toast lol). So if you are craving churros, but also craving some french toast I totally have you covered lol. Churro French Toast
Ingredients
French Toast:
- 4 Bread Slices
- 2 Eggs
- 1/2 Cup Milk
- 1/2 tsp. Vanilla
- 1/8 tsp. nutmeg
Glaze:
- 1/4 Cup Powdered Sugar
- 2 Tbsp. Cream Cheese
- 2 Tbsp. Milk
- 1/4 tsp. Vanilla
Cinnamon/Sugar mix:
- 1/4 Cup Sugar
- 2 Tbsp. Brown Sugar
- 1 tsp. Cinnamon
Instructions
- In a small bowl mix together all the ingredients for the glaze until it is completely smooth then set aside.
- In a second small bowl combine brown sugar, sugar and cinnamon, and set aside.
- In a shallow bowl/dish whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla, and nutmeg. Dip each side of bread into mixture letting it soak in for about 5 seconds.
- In pan/skillet cook each slice until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes on each side.
- As soon as a slice is done coat in cinnamon/sugar mixture right away. Then stack your french toast and drizzle with glaze.
