Thankfully today is a quick and simple recipe that everyone should know how to make. We are making a simple yet Classic Italian Bruschetta. This Italian appetizer is truly a classic almost everyone has had at some point and is an easy winner in any situation. How to Make a Classic Italian Bruschetta
Ingredients
Topping:
- 6 Roma Tomatoes Diced, and Drained
- 1/3 Cup Fresh Basil Chopped
- 5 Garlic Cloves Minced & Divided
- 1 Tbsp. Balsamic Vinegar
- 2 Tbsp. Olive Oil
- Salt
- Pepper
Toast:
- 1 Baguette Sliced
- 3 Tbsp. Olive Oil
- 1/3 Cup Parmesan Cheese Grated
Instructions
- Core and dice the tomatoes, drain the excess juice from the tomatoes and place it in a medium bowl.
- Slice basil so you have strips add it to the bowl of tomatoes. Dice garlic place 1 clove worth into the olive oil for the toast and the rest in the bowl of tomatoes.
- Season the tomatoes with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, pepper stir gently, and allow to rest for 15 to 20 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 400˚F.
- Slice the baguette into about 1/2" slices. Brush both sides with garlic-infused olive oil. Place on a baking sheet and sprinkle with the parmesan cheese. Place in the oven and bake for about 5 to 7 minutes until the edges become golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and top with the tomato mixture. Drizzle with a little balsamic reduction and serve.
