Classic Ricotta Stuffed Shells

Friday is FINALLY here! I want to kick back and relax… BUT Anthony is in the play offs so I am posting (that’s why this is a little late) then headed over to the High School to watch his game. Anyway though, it is time to get to this recipe. It is cold and snowing here so it is perfect recipe would be a nice Classic Ricotta Stuffed Shells! Yup this is an easy and awesome dinner that everyone loves. It is a great family recipe that is easy to serve to everyone. Classic Ricotta Stuffed Shells Recipe

Ingredients
  

Ricotta Filling:

  • 15 oz. Ricotta Cheese
  • 8 oz. Mozzarella Cheese Shredded
  • 1/2 Cup Parmesan Cheese Grated
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Tbsp. Parsley
  • 3 Garlic Cloves Minced
  • 1 Tbsp. Basil
  • 1 tsp. Oregano
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Topping:

  • 1/3 Cup Mozzarella Cheese Shredded
  • Oregano
  • 8 oz. Jumbo Shells
  • 3 Cups Marinara Sauce

Instructions
 

  • Cook jumbo shells according to package, once cooked strain and set aside to cool.
  • Pre heat your oven to 350˚.
  • In medium bowl combine, Ricotta, egg, seasoning, garlic, parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese.
  • Pour marinara sauce into the bottom of a baking dish.
  • Spoon filling into cooked shells and then place shells in the baking dish.
  • Sprinkle extra mozzarella and oregano over the top and bake for about 20 minutes.
