Copycat Hooter’s Hot Wings Recipe
Ingredients
- 10 Chicken Wings
- 1/2 Cup Flour
- 1/4 tsp. Paprika
- 1/4 tsp. Cayenne
- Salt
- Oil for Frying
Wing Sauce:
- 1/4 Cup Hot Sauce I used Franks Red Hot
- 1/4 Cup Butter
- 1/4 tsp. Garlic Powder
- Pepper
Instructions
- Thaw and pat dry all of your chicken.
- In small bowl mix together flour, paprika, cayenne and salt. Place chicken in a medium bowl, pour the flour mixture over chicken and toss to coat. Cover the bowl and place in the refrigerator for about an hour.
- Heat oil in fryer or deep pot to 375˚. Fry wings for 10-15 minutes, until they are a dark golden color to make sure they cook all the way through. When done frying place them on a paper towel to drain oil.
- While wings are frying, in a small sauce pan melt down butter, add in the hot sauce garlic powder and salt. Allow to simmer over a low heat until completely combined.
- Place wings in a large bowl, pour sauce over the wings and toss.
- Enjoy!
