Hey guys, Tony here I was asked by a few people to put more of me out so they could get to know me. With that, I started having Katie (my lovely wife) start typing up our dating adventures. She will keep putting that one out, here I will get in touch with the nerd that is me too. For those who don’t know me that well… yet. I am a huge nerd. I mean comic books, Sci-Fi movies, Pro Wrestling, Anime yup the whole nine yards I am into it lol.
A little peek under the hood I am sitting at just under 18,000 comic books in my collection, and yes I have read every single one of them lol. So I think that will be the perfect place to start is with my comic book collecting and what I am currently reading. If you are curious I get all my books from Keith’s Komix a little ship in Schaumburg, IL. I try to make it out every Wednesday (the day comics come out) but usually end up going on Saturdays due to work.
I figure I will pick one comic a week that I am really liking the book. Immortal Hulk has been amazing since its launch.
Issue 49 came out last week ( I got the AAPI Variant Cover) is the second to last issue.
This has been one of the best-written Marvel books over the last several years and I am looking forward to every issue as they have been coming out. Marvel has brought a real horror feel to the book and delved deep into the mythology of Hulk and the differences in the character over the years.
After Issue 50 there will be a re-launch with a new creative team so my fingers are crossed that the book will be even half as good on the relaunch.
The gallery below is the rest of the books I picked up.
Last Thursday I went out with a couple of my High School friends to see the Suicide Squad. Whenever I head out to comic book movies I hit Hollywood Palms. It’s one of those theaters that have a table on your chair, which is a recliner lol. You order dinner have some drinks. The Suicide Squad is a movie you are going to love or are going to hate. I don’t know anyone who came down in the middle of this one. I fall in the love category of people who have seen it.
Idris Elba and John Cena completely stole this movie. Whenever the two have scenes together they are freaking amazing and had me laughing the whole time. This is just a fun little romp of an action movie that you don’t invest too much thought into. Just go in, sit back, relax, and enjoy it lol.
Last thing for this week, yea it was kind of a busy week lol. For those who don’t know I was a Pro Wrestler for the better part of 2 decades. Yes, that Pro Wrestling… WWE, AEW all that. Yes I have gotten to meet and hang out and wrestle a LOT of famous people you probably know lol.
Well, my in-ring days are behind me BUT I do still help one of the local Midwest companies. AAW Pro, and they ran a show this weekend. So most of my day Saturday was spent there. While I do miss being in the ring and working matches, I do get to have a ton of fun because I still get to hang out with all the fans I have become friends with over the last 2 decades.
The show itself was amazing, if you are a Pro Wrestling fan you really need to check them out. I am lucky enough to live just outside of Chicago so we have a lot of amazing entertainment and this really is at the top of my list for fun things to do. I know this was a lot of rambling about nerding out, I promise the more I write the better these will get lol. Also, feel free to comment and ask questions! Seriously let’s make it a back and forth. Let me know what you would like to see in these.
