Hey guys, here we are at the start of a fresh new week! I am hoping you all have an amazing one coming up. I am starting this week with a fun little dinner recipe that will make the family VERY happy. We are making French Onion Chicken Noodle Casserole!! This one takes me back to my childhood as mom used to make some casseroles after work so she could throw something together quickly and have all of us happy lol. Simple French Onion Chicken Noodle Casserole

Total Time 1 hour 10 minutes

Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz. Pasta Shells
  • 3 Tbsp. Butter
  • 2 Sweet Onions Sliced
  • 2 Tbsp. Flour
  • 3 Garlic Cloves Minced
  • 1/3 Cup Dry White Wine
  • 2-1/2 Cups Chicken Stock
  • 3 Cups Chicken Shredded
  • 3/4 Cup Sour Cream
  • 1/4 Cup Green Onions Chopped
  • 4 Cups Kettle Chips

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350˚F. Cook pasta shells according to box instructions, drain well and set them aside.
  • In a large oven-safe skillet melt the butter. Add in sliced onions and cook stirring often, and until they are golden and caramelized. About 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Whisk in the flour and garlic, allow to cook until the garlic becomes fragrant about another minute. Stir in the wine, scrapping any baked-on bits from the bottom of the pan.
  • Stir in the chicken stock, bring to a boil reduce the heat, and allow to simmer until thickened. Stir in shells, chicken, sour cream, half of the green onions. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Top with the kettle chips.
  • Place into the oven to bake for about 20 minutes, remove from the oven garnish with the other half of the green onions and serve.
