Pretzel Crusted Chicken

We made it to another Friday! OMG, this week at work has been super hectic! I want to thank everyone who checked out the live stream on Wednesday! Anyway, today we are making Pretzel Crusted Chicken w/ Cheddar Mustard Sauce! Seriously roast some green beans make some mashed potatoes you have a full freaking dinner ready to go everyone will love it. How to Make Pretzel Crusted Chicken w/ Cheddar Mustard Sauce

Ingredients
  

Chicken:

  • 2 Chicken Breasts
  • 1 5oz. Bag of Pretzels
  • 1/2 tsp. Paprika
  • 2 Eggs
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Cheese Sauce:

  • 2 Tbsp. Flour
  • 2 Tbsp. Butter
  • 2 Cups Milk
  • 2 Cups Cheddar Cheese Shredded
  • 2 Tbsp. Honey Mustard
  • 1/2 tsp. Paprika
  • 1/4 tsp. Cayenne

Instructions
 

  • Butterfly chicken breasts and cut them in helf, flattening them with a mallet to about 1/4 inch.
  • Place pretzels in a food processor and pulse until the are fine crumbs. Pour into a bowl, add in paprika, and salt and pepper to taste. In a second bowl beat eggs.
  • Heat about 1/4 inch of oil in a pan. coat each chicken breast in the egg, then the ground pretzel and place in heated oil. Allow to cook for about 4 minutes per side.
  • While the chicken is cooking melt butter in a small sauce pan. Add in flour and whisk together, allow to bubble and cook for about a minute. Slowly whisk in milk and allow to summer for about 5 minutes to thicken up. Turn down heat, add in cheese, mustard, paprika, cayenne and sal stand pepper to take.
  • Serve chicken and top with sauce, add a little parsley or red onion on top.
