When I told people I was going to start getting all my cooking on film and put the recipes out there I was asked a couple of questions a LOT! At the top of that list was when are you going to make Arroz con Gandules and when are you making Sancocho. Well I had done the Arroz con Gandules awhile ago, and now I am getting to that Puerto Rican favorite, the one the only Sancocho. When I say every Puerto Rican I knew was asking me about this one I am not even close to joking lol. The first time I made this for my wife (who is not Puerto Rican) she was in love with this stew. If is one of those AMAZING recipes that once you try it you stop thinking of it as Puerto Rican cuisine and just start thinking of it as awesome food. So seriously go ahead and give this one a shot and fall in love with this little slice of Puerto Rico.

Cuando le dije a la gente que iba a empezar a obtener toda mi cocina en la película y poner las recetas por ahí me hicieron un par de preguntas mucho! En la parte superior de esa lista era cuando vas a hacer Arroz con Gandules y cuando vas a hacer Sancocho. Bueno, yo había hecho el Arroz con Gandules hace un tiempo, y ahora estoy llegando a ese favorito de Puerto Rico, el único Sancocho. Cuando digo que cada puertorriqueño sabía que me preguntaba sobre esto no estoy ni siquiera cerca de bromear lol. La primera vez que hice esto para mi esposa (que no es puertorriqueña) ella estaba en amor con este estofado. Si es una de esas recetas increíbles que una vez que lo intente dejar de pensar en ella como la cocina puertorriqueña y acaba de empezar a pensar en él como comida increíble. Así que en serio seguir adelante y dar a este un disparo y enamorarse de esta pequeña porción de Puerto Rico.
