OMG way made it to Friday! I mean yeah it’s Friday the 13th but still Friday, right? lol. So to make up for it being a “bad” Friday let’s throwdown with a great recipe. We are going to make some Takis Fuego Jalapeño Poppers! That’s right we are taking the awesomeness of jalapeño poppers and breading them with the greatest that is Takis lol. My kids kill Takis all the time, so I was like why not? Let’s use them for something more than just bagged snacks and make this all next level lol. How to Make Takis Fuego Jalapeño Poppers
Ingredients
- 10 Jalapeños Halved and Seeded
- 8 oz. Cream Cheese Softened
- 8 oz. Cheddar Cheese Shredded
- 1-1/2 Cups Buttermilk
- 1 Cup Flour
- 1 15oz. Bag Takis Fuego
- Garlic Salt
- Paprika
Instructions
- In a bowl combined the cream cheese, and cheddar cheese. Spoon the cheese mixture into each of the jalapeño halves evenly.
- Pour buttermilk into one bowl and flour in a second bowl whisk together flour, garlic salt, and paprika. Dip each stuffed jalapeño into the buttermilk then into the flour mixture and place on a rack to allow to rest.
- While they are resting start preheating your oil to 350˚F. Then add Takis into a food processor and pulse until it looks like panko bread crumbs and pour into a shallow bowl.
- Dip rested jalapeños back into the buttermilk then into the takis crumsb to coat. Place in heated oil for about 2 minutes. Remove and serve.
