In a large bowl mix together buttermilk and hot sauce for the chicken. Place chicken in mixture making sure it is covered and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
In a small bowl mix together all of the ingredients for the aioli. Cover and place in the fridge until you are ready to use.
While aioli is resting start making the waffles by taking a medium bowl and whisking together flour, brown sugar, baking soda, baking powder, salt and pepper.
In a second bowl mix together eggs, butter and butter milk, pour the liquids into the dries and mix.
Mix in green onions, bacon and cheddar cheese. Lightly grease your heated waffle iron and use roughly a 1/2 Cup at a time make your waffles and cook until they are golden brown. Heat oil to 350˚.
In a medium bowl mix together the remaining chicken ingredients.
Remove chicken form marinade and allow access to drain off. Coat in the flour mixture and fry in heated oil for about 7 to 10 minutes. Until breading is golden brown and chicken is completely cooked.
To build sandwiches slice waffles in half. Place chicken on one halved waffle, add aioli and any toppings ( I used cheese, lettuce and tomatoes) Top with a second waffle half.
