With the barbecue season coming to a close soon for the year I figured now is the perfect time to throw out another one of my awesome Puerto Rican recipes. Now I have done my Chicken Skewers before, when I did I was asked a lot if there is a version of this recipe made with pork. Well you know what? There is! So I decided for this nice long weekend of grilling I decided to break out my Puerto Rican Pork Skewers! This may be a Puerto Rican recipe but it is so good that literally every one will love this. It is an easy win for any family get together, or just having friends over. I say it a lot but this really is a quick and simple way to dip your toes into the world of Puerto Rican cuisine. Go ahead give this one a try guys I know you will totally love them!

Puerto Rican Pork Skewer Recipe
Ingredients
- 1-1/2 tsp. Oregano
- 1 tsp. Cumin
- Salt
- 1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
- Pepper
- 5 Garlic Cloves Minced
- 1/3 Cup Orange Juice
- 2 Tbsp. Lim Juice
- 1 Tbsp. Rum Bacardi of course lol
- 2-1/2 lb. Pork Cubed
- 1/2 Red Onion quartered
- 1 Bell Pepper Cut in strips
Instructions
- In large bowl, combine oregano, cumin, salt, pepper and garlic.
- Stir in orange juice, lime juice and rum.
- Pierce pork cubes with knife tip or fork. Add pork, onion and bell pepper to marinade and toss well. Cover and refrigerate for 4 hours.
- Thread pork, onion and peppers on skewers. Grill over medium heat for 10 to 15 minutes, turning skewers every 3 to 4 minutes, while basting with marinade
- enjoy!
