What’s up guys! It’s Friday, so why not a cool little weekend type recipe? This Simple Homemade Calzone is great for a lot of reasons. One being it is so simple to switch up and adjust. Want different toppings boom easy enough! You can trade out the ingredients in this one so easily without ruining anything. Two did I mention it is simple? Like really really freaking easy lol. Last. I mean who doesn’t freaking love Calzone lol. Go ahead guys give this one a try it is totally worth it! When you do make it be sure you take a picture and post it to my Facebook page!

Simple Homemade Calzone Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 Refrigerated Pizza Dough
- 1/2 lb. Italian Sausage
- 8 oz. Mozzarella Cheese Shredded
- 1 Cup Pizza Sauce
- 3/4 Cup Green Pepper Sliced
- 1/2 Cup Pepperoni
- 1 Egg Beaten
Instructions
- Pre-heat your oven to 425˚.
- In a pan/skillet cook and break up the sausage. Add in sliced green pepper and allow to cook for about 5 minutes, until tender.
- Divid pizza dough into 3 pieces, on a lightly floured surface roll the dough out until it's about 1/4 inch thick.
- Spread pizza sauce over dough, top with cheese, sausage & pepper mixture, pepperoni and additional cheese.
- Fold dough over, pinching shut the edges. Make 2-3 slits in the top of the calzone and brush with beaten egg.
- Place on a baking sheet and bake for about 15 minutes or until it becomes golden brown.
