What’s up everyone? Hope you all had an AWESOME mothers day. I thought this time I would bring an amazing sandwich. I was thinking I need to drop a great burger recipe but my grill was ready for grilling season yet. I have it stripped and was cleaning ( I am done now) so I wanted to do something close to a burger then lol. This BBQ Bourbon Meatloaf Sandwich is so freaking good you guys will totally fall in love with it. I will simply leave it at that lol. BBQ Bourbon Meatloaf Sandwich Recipe
Ingredients
Meatloaf Patties:
- 1 lb. Ground Beef
- 1 Cup Bread Crumbs
- 1/3 Cup BBQ Sauce
- 4 Colby Jack Cheese Slices
- 3 Bacon Slices Cooked & Crumbled
- 1 Egg
Bourbon Sauce:
- 1 Cup BBQ Sauce
- 1/3 Cup Water
- 4 Tbsp. Bourbon
Onion Straws:
- 1 Onion Thinly Sliced
- 1 Cup Flour
- 1 tsp. Paprika
- 1/2 tsp. Cayenne
- Salt
- Pepper
- 4 Onion Rolls
Instructions
- Pre-Heat oven to 350˚.
- Mix all of the meatloaf ingredients together, form patties and bake for 25-30 minutes. Flip patties half way through.
- Heat oil to 375˚.
- While baking the patties mix flour, salt, paprika, cayenne, salt and pepper.
- Drag sliced onions through the flour mixture and fry until golden brown, take out and drain on a paper towel.
- In a sauce pan add in all ingredients for the bourbon sauce. Bring it to a boil reduce heat and simmer for about 10-15 minutes.
- In a skillet/pan place about 1/2 cup of your bourbon sauce, add in your meatloaf patties and top with cheese cook until cheese is melted.
- Put together the sandwich by placing a patty on the bottom bun top with more bourbon sauce and onion straws!
