Mashed Potato Meatloaf Casserole

Sometimes you want an easy dinner you can serve to the whole family that you know they will all dig and give a try. Well this is exactly what this recipe is. This Mashed Potato Meatloaf Casserole Recipe is so freaking good and so easy. I had several kids from the Football spend the night and hang out with my son while filming this one and they devoured the whole thing while playing a Madden tournament on Xbox. I figured I would have some left overs in the morning but yea… didn’t work out that way lol. So you know you can feed this to teens with out a problem. If teens will eat this everyone will. So go ahead guys give this bit of comfort food a try I know you will love this one!

Mashed Potato Meatloaf Casserole Recipe

Prep Time 10 minutes
Cook Time 40 minutes
Total Time 40 minutes

Ingredients
  

  • 4 Cups Mashed Potatoes
  • 1 lb. Ground Beef
  • 1/2 Cup Onion Diced
  • 2 Tbsp. Brown Sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 Cup Italian Bread Crumbs
  • 1 Egg
  • 4-6 Bacon Slices Crumbled
  • 1-1/2 Cup Cheddar Cheese Shredded

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400F.
  • In large mixing bowl combine ground beef, onions, brown sugar and Worcestershire sauce using your hands.
  • Add bread crumbs and egg to the meat mixture and continue mixing it with your hands.
  • Press the meat mixture evenly into an 8 inch square baking dish.
  • Spread the mashed potatoes over the meat using a rubber spatula.
  • Sprinkle the grated cheese on top followed by the bacon.
  • Cover the dish with aluminum foil and place in oven for 30 minutes.
  • Remove foil and continue cooking for another 10 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and allow to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
