Sausage Gravy Quiche

What’s up everyone? First I am going to wish everyone a happy Monday, cause you know we all love the beginning of the week lol. I thought I would throw down this time with a cool breakfast I could pitch to my wife and my son both, with their super differing tastes. So when I came across this Sausage Gravy Quiche I though man this is it! My son LOVES biscuits and gravy and my wife loves a good quiche. This combines both of them lol. If you guys want to try an awesome recipe that changes things up a bit this is the perfect breakfast for you! Sausage Gravy Quiche Recipe

Total Time 1 hour

Ingredients
  

Base:

  • 24 oz. Breakfast Sausage
  • 1 Onion

Quiche:

  • 1 Pie Crust
  • 6 Eggs
  • 1/2 Cup Sour Cream
  • 1/2 Cup Heavy Cream
  • 2/3 of the Base
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Sausage Gravy:

  • 1/3 of the Base
  • 2 Cups Milk
  • 1/4 Cup Flour
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions
 

  • Sauté diced onions for a couple minutes over medium heat until transparent. Add sausage into pan breaking it up as much as possible. Cook until complete, remove from heat and set aside.
  • Pre-heat oven to 350˚.
  • Whisk eggs, sour cream, heavy cream, salt and pepper until completely combined. Add in 2/3 of sausage mixture.
  • Fit pie crust into pie pan, pour egg mixture into pie. Bake for 35-40 minutes.
  • Heat remaining sausage mix in a sauce pan. Sprinkle with flour.
  • Slowly pour milk into sauce pan stirring constantly Mixture will slowly thicken. Remove from heat at desired thickness.
  • Top each slice of quiche with some gravy, salt and pepper.
