Southern Hot Honey Chicken

Happy Friday everyone! I know for a lot of us working from home or not working at all it’s just another Blursday.. you now cause they are all blurring together lol. Anyway I thought I would throw a fun and cool little dinner recipe to spice up those evenings lol. I am making some Southern Hot Honey Chicken. When I was done making this one my son and wife descended on the kitchen so freaking fast to destroy it. Trust me when I say you guys need to try and make this one. Southern Hot Honey Chicken Recipe

Total Time 45 minutes

Ingredients
  

Chicken:

  • 2 lb. Chicken Breast
  • 1 Cup Butter Milk
  • 3 Cups Corn Flakes Crushed
  • 3 Tbsp. Flour
  • 1 Tbsp. Thyme
  • 2 Tbsp. Olive Oil
  • Salt

Hot Honey Sauce:

  • 6 Tbsp. Butter Melted
  • 2 Tbsp. Honey
  • 3 tsp. Cayenne Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. Chili Powder
  • 1.2 tsp. Paprika
  • 1/2 tsp. Garlic Powder
  • Salt

Instructions
 

  • Add chicken into a large bowl, pour in the buttermilk and salt to taste. Make sure all the chicken is nicely coated, cover and refrigerate for at least 20 minutes.
  • Pre-heat oven to 375˚. Add cornflakes, flour, thyme and salt to a shallow bowl, and mix until completely combined.
  • Take the chicken out of the buttermilk coat in the cornflake mixture. Drizzle the olive oil over the chicken.
  • Place in the oven and bake for 10 minutes, flip over and bake another 10 minutes.
  • While chicken is cooking mix together all the ingredients for the Hot Honey Sauce.
  • Drizzle or brush the hot honey sauce over baked chicken and serve.
