Apple Upside Down Cake Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 1-1/2 Cups Flour
  • 2 tsp. Baking Powder
  • Salt
  • 3/4 Cup Milk
  • 1/2 Cup Honey
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla
  • 1/2 Butter Softened
  • 1 Cup Brown Sugar
  • 2 Medium Apples I used Granny Smiths, Cored and Cut
  • 1/2 Cup Halved Pecans
  • 2 Eggs

Instructions
 

  • PreHeat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Stir together flour, baking powder, and salt in medium bowl. In second bowl whisk together milk, honey and vanilla.
  • Place 1/4 cup of melted butter in 9" square baking pan. Stir in 1/2 Cup of brown sugar. Arrange apple slices in mixture and sprinkle pecans over apples.
  • In large bowl beat the remaining 1/4 Cup butter, gradually add the remaining brown sugar and beat until light and fluffy. Add in eggs and beat for about a minute. Add in flour mixture and milk mixture alternating while beating, until completely combined. Pour over apples in baking pan.
  • Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Allow to cool on wire rack for 5 minutes then invert onto serving plate.
