Stir together flour, baking powder, and salt in medium bowl. In second bowl whisk together milk, honey and vanilla.
Place 1/4 cup of melted butter in 9" square baking pan. Stir in 1/2 Cup of brown sugar. Arrange apple slices in mixture and sprinkle pecans over apples.
In large bowl beat the remaining 1/4 Cup butter, gradually add the remaining brown sugar and beat until light and fluffy. Add in eggs and beat for about a minute. Add in flour mixture and milk mixture alternating while beating, until completely combined. Pour over apples in baking pan.
Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Allow to cool on wire rack for 5 minutes then invert onto serving plate.
