Bacon Cheeseburger Jalapeno Poppers Recipe

Total Time 25 minutes

Ingredients

  • 11 Jalapenos
  • 1 Medium Onion Chopped
  • 3 Garlic Cloves Chopped
  • 1 lb. Ground Beef
  • 1 Cup Cheddar Cheese Shredded
  • 10 Bacon Slices
  • 1 tsp. Mustard
  • 3 Tbsp. Barbecue Sauce
  • 2 tsp. Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. Ketchup

Instructions

  • Slice the jalapeno peppers in half lengthwise and scoop out the insides. Set them onto a baking sheet.
  • Heat a large pan to medium heat and heat olive oil. Add chopped jalapeno and onion. Cook about 5 minutes to soften.
  • Add garlic and cook another minute until fragrant.
  • Add ground beef and cook through, about 6-7 minutes. Mix in Mustard, Barbecue Sauce, Worcestershire Sauce and Ketchup until combined. Remove from heat and cool slightly.
  • Swirl in cheddar cheese and mix to incorporate.
  • Stuff each jalapeno pepper with cheese beef mixture.
  • Slice the bacon on half lengthwise and wrap each stuffed pepper. If you want more bacon, use a whole slice of bacon for each popper half.
  • Set oven to broil and set the poppers into the center of the oven, not too close to the heat. Broil the poppers 15 minutes, or until bacon is crisp.
