Chorizo Garlic Shrimp Burger Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • BURGERS
  • 1 lb. Ground Chorizo
  • 2 Garlic Cloves Minced
  • 1-1/2 tsp. Paprika
  • 1 tsp. Red Wine Vinegar
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. Oregano
  • 1/4 tsp. Cumin
  • GARLIC SHRIMP
  • 8 Large Shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1 tsp. Thyme
  • 1 Garlic Clove Minced
  • 1/2 tsp. Olive Oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • PAPRIKA MAYO
  • 3 Tbsp. Mayonnaise
  • 1 Tbsp. Tomato Paste
  • 1-1/2 tsp. Paprika
  • 1 tsp. Mustard
  • Lime Juice
  • 3/4 Cup Cheddar Cheese shredded

Instructions
 

  • In large bowl mix Chorizo and all the burger ingredients, until evenly combined.
  • Cover with clastic wrap and place in the fridge for at least an hour.
  • Peel, devein and rinse shrimp. Pat dry with a paper towel and place them in a medium bowl.
  • Add in all of shrimp ingredients and coat the shrimp thoroughly, cover and place in fridge for 30 minutes.
  • In small bowl mix, Mayonnaise, tomato paste, paprika, mustard and lime juice. Mix until completely combined to make the Paprika Mayo.
  • After 1 hour divide chorizo into 4 patties. Heat a little oil in a pan over medium heat. Two at a time place the burger patties into the heated oil. Allow the burgers to completely brown before flipping over. Sprinkle each patty with shredded cheese, cover and allow to finish cooking.
  • Once burgers are done do NOT clean the pan leave the Chorizo grease in there. Add the shrimp in and allow to cook for a minute of two on each side.
  • To assemble spread Paprika Mayo on the bottom bun, then add chorizo patty, top with shrimp close it up and enjoy!
