Mashed Potatoes Cheese Sticks Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 3 Large Russet Potatoes
  • 1 Cheddar Cheese Block Sliced in Strips
  • 1/2 Cup Sour Cream
  • 1/4 Cup Green Onion Diced
  • 1/4 Cup Bacon Chopped
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 1 Cup Flour
  • 2 Eggs Beaten
  • 1 Cup Pank Breadcrumbs

Instructions
 

  • Peel and cube your potatoes, then place in a large pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil and allow to go for about 20 minutes.
  • Drain potatoes, then place in a large bowl with sour cream, green onion, bacon, salt and pepper to taste and mash together.
  • Heat oil to 350˚.
  • Scoop potatoes out in a ball and place cheese stick slices in the middle and form the potatoes around the cheese stick so it is completely covered.
  • Place flour, egg, and panko in three separate shallow dishes.
  • Coat sticks in the flour, then egg and panko. To make them extra crispy put them through the egg then panko a second time.
  • Fry for about 2-3 minutes, until they are a golden brown.
