Nana's Marinara (Pasta) Sauce Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 Cup Olive Oil
  • 2 Cups Finely Chopped Onions
  • 2 Cups Water
  • 2 Gloves of Garlic Crushed
  • 2 Cans 1 lbs. Tomato Puree1 lbs. Tomato Puree
  • 2 lbs. Italian Plum Tomatoes Chunked to your preference
  • 1/4 Cup Chopped Parsley
  • 2 Tbsp. Sugar
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. Salt
  • 3 tsp. Oregano
  • 2 tsp. Basil
  • 1/2 tsp. Pepper
  • 1 tsp. Fennel Seed

Instructions
 

  • Heat Olive Oil in large pot, sauté the onions and garlic until nice and tender, about 5 minutes
  • Stir in remaining sauce ingredients. Bring to a boil, then lower heat and simmer for 1 - 2 hours (until you get the desired thickness, I like mine very thick so I let it go about an hour and 45 minutes).

It's a SUPER easy recipes that tastes so freakin' good! Nana really knew how to cook. I can't wait to bust out a few more of he recipes and try them!
